SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY
Jonesboro Middle School is one of many middle schools in Clayton County, Georgia. In the heart of the Jonesboro, the county seat-city, JMS serves the educational needs for hundreds of students encouraging pathways to college and careers for all who attend. Jonesboro Middle School also serves as an Interational Baccaleureate school for all scholars; the Mighty Bears expect "Excellence Everyday".

The library media center of Jonesboro Middle School is the hub of academia and fellowship for the school congregants. It serves the greater school community by promoting literary services and access to information for students and staff. The JMS library media center works in connection with the Clayton County Public Library System to promote successful efforts in leisure reading and homework help for all students. Altogether, Jonesboro Middle Schools works to be Responsible, Respectful, and Ready to completely help Clayton County Public Schools "Build a Better Tomorrow, Today." This is the motto each staff member follows to create highly hopeful and progressive students as Mighty Bears!

The mission of Jonesboro Middle School Media Center is to cultivate all scholars in order to achieve excellence together with our school, our community, and eventually in a global economy. Jonesboro Middle School is a place where students feel safe to tackle obstacles and accomplish all of their goals. We offer a variety of opportunities to help students be the best version of themselves, while having some fun along the way.
